Title: Equine Body Fat Scoring with Equi-Therapy UK (BHS Welfare Team)
This workshop is carried out by members of the BHS Welfare Team & will offer hints, tips & practical applications to help you, as a therapist, give the right information & advice to your clients which will be both rewarding & proactive.

  • Fat scoring (Also known as Body Condition Scoring BCS) can be used to assess the overall weight & condition of a horse – you will learn hands-on applications to help in you assess & aid your practise
  • There are also manners in which to explain your findings to your owners in a polite & effective way.

It’s a very hands-on experience & you will gain the knowledge & skills to help your clients & their horses get fitter & healthier for the future.

Title: Farriery for Therapists with Equi-Therapy UK (Calum Grant, Farrier)
The course will concentrate on the observation, evaluation and effects of good farriery. Once completed you will be able to use these new observational skills as part of your assessment routine. The following subsections will be covered in detail:
