PRE-RECORDED 1 HOUR CPD

During this 1 hour recorded CPD, Katie will give an overview of Electrophysical Agents (EPA’s) and how they can be used in Equine Rehabilitation. This lecture will explore how EPA’s work at a cellular level and compare therapies such as Laser, Ultrasound, PEMF and Radiofrequency (INDIBA etc).

With the amount of electrophysical agents now on the market for use in equine therapy, it is inevitable that therapists feel confused about which equipment they should use in their practice. There is a reasonable amount of research in the field of EPA’s but most of this is in humans, there is very little research into the use of EPA’s in horses. So, how can we make sense of this research and apply it to the use of EPA’s in horses?

Not affiliated (deliberately) with any manufacturer, Katie gives a completely unbiased, evidence based review of the different equipment available. We will explore the benefits and uses for EPA’s in the rehabilitation of horses and how they can be used in a multimodal approach in the treatment of common conditions.
