1.5 hour CPD
Join Lisa Hannaby where she will explore the canine microbiome in all it’s glory. Unlike Vegas, what goes on in the gut doesn’t stay in the gut so Lisa will discuss the role of the microbiome and its integration in the canine body; from it’s role in behaviour, to skin health and even musculoskeletal function. She’ll consider what can cause imbalances in the gut ecosystem and ways to modulate these for optimal canine health.

Introducing Lisa Hannaby
Lisa Hannaby, a former Lecturer in Health and Social Care and Psychology graduate, swapped humans for pets by re-training as a groomer. She soon built a pet business to include a grooming salon, cattery, and raw food store. Before long the same health issues she worked with in humans, were apparent in pets, and so Lisa pursued additional biochemistry study, along with an MSc in Human Nutrition. Lisa freelances on all things Psychology and Nutrition, she is the in-house Researcher and Writer for My Pet Nutritionist, a Science Writer for the Centre of Nutritional Psychology, and has regular magazine features in Edition Dog and On The Couch Magazine. She has recently co-authored the first OfQual regulated qualification in Canine Nutrition and works closely with iPet Network on new qualification development.
